A E D
Best friend, You know it all. The deepest pain
A E D A
the deepest call, the brokenness, the ugliness
A E D A
Best friend, you felt the pain, you cried the tears, you
washed my stain,
E D A
You knelt down, to wash my feet
A E D
Best friend, you talked to me, to get me to release
E D A
All the things, I’ve tried to fix and my disease
A E
You received my heart, and made it new,
D A
and placed in me an imprint of You
E D A
You stayed with me till I could feel Your presence.
A E D
So, I will look into your eyes of love, when I feel challenged
A
and I want to say “It’s enough!”
E D A
You know the strategy, the remedy, and healing
A E D
And you say healing will come to me, when I believe,
A
and it’s time for you to release.
E D A
But more than anything it’s You I want with me
A E
So, I will open up this heart of faith,
D A
and look into your amazing grace
E D A
and I will sing my song to you.
A E
So here and now, I’ll empty out,
D A
a heart that’s too busy and has doubts
E D A
I’ll clean it out and place my joy on You Lord.
A E
As it has always been from the beginning,
D A
You’d have Your family fellowshipping,
E D A
hearing, listening to Your voice.
A E
So, I’ll bend my ear, and I’ll draw near,
D A
On my knees to hear Your voice clear,
E D A
for You satisfy my deep desire to know You.
A E
And I get to love this God so high,
D A
Who calls me to draw nigh,
E D A
So here I am, I lay my burden down Lord,
E D A
So here I am, I place my hand in Yours Lord
