Written November 3rd, 2016 for Tammy
Many steps down this broken road
I kept walking cause you carried my load
I caught a glimpse of your lovely face
You said "Keep walking, you'll see more of my grace."
I had some victories and I gave you glory,
I liked the melody and I liked my story.
When your blessings were near, I could see your face,
but the lessons still to come would stretch out my faith.
One day my steps became hindered by pain.
Your blood shed for me reminded me again
you felt my suffering, my heart was breaking.
When you went to Calvary, redemption's undertaking,
you walked more than a mile Oh Lord, in my shoes.
On the cross, taking on all my shame,
you carried my burden and my heaviness.
You endured it all though you were crushed,
just like an olive in an olive press.
In your bleeding wounds the healing given-
nothing like it compares on this side of heaven.
Far and wide it reaches sinners racing.
Your blood testifies of your healing reaching, making
many one with you, by the gift, of your wounds.
You took my punishment like the dearest friend
You saitisfied God's wrath and so enabled redemption.
Poured out like oil, a fragrant offering,
Releasing the fragrance of the deepest healing.
You endured it all with perfect purity
because the simple truth is that you wanted me.
You set me up to set me free,
now I can live for your glory, honor and immortality.

I love studying the Bible about topics that most Christians deal with, and sharing my findings. My hope is to inspire others with the good news of the Gospel and point others to the great and precious promises of Jesus.
